It is with great pride that we are beginning the deployment of Flux’s shared node program dubbed ‘Project Titan’. And we are happy to announce that we are doing it with a new strategic partner: Lumen Technologies.
Lumen Technologies is not only a key player in Internet infrastructure (with more than 450K miles of Fiber routes, 2,200 data centers, and a 170 Tbps delivery capacity CDN), but Lumen is also pushing forward the development of technology by being a major proponent of the fourth industrial revolution.
Like Flux, Lumen wants to further human progress through technology and is building some true next-generation infrastructure by leveraging Edge computing and other breakthrough technologies.
Flux and Lumen will work together to bridge the gap between legacy infrastructure and Web3.
Through this partnership Flux will be able to deliver a truly unique Web3 experience, backed with infrastructure ranging from edge computing enabled Nvidia Jetsons running in people’s homes to Enterprise level Lumen infrastructure utilizing adaptive networking and connected security solutions.
Bringing enterprise to Web3
All technological breakthroughs come from humble beginnings but, as the technology matures, adoption increases, and eventually, the new technology goes mainstream.
As an emerging technology, Web3 depends on innovators like Flux and Lumen to develop and showcase the value proposition of this new technology stack. To grow and develop Web3 further, the next logical step is to open the doors to increased enterprise adoption.
Flux and Lumen aim to increase the adoption of Web3 and the underlying next-gen technologies by creating an attractive technological platform for enterprise clients. The platform will be a hybrid solution where Web3 and legacy infrastructure complement each other by mitigating weaknesses and capitalizing on the strengths of each technology stack.
Initially, Flux and Lumen will establish a joint infrastructure based on the Flux ‘Titan’ shared node services that will start deployment now. The Titan nodes will offer enterprise clients running on Flux all the benefits and security of the Lumen infrastructure, while also having access to the Flux decentralized ecosystem.
The Titan program enables anyone to participate in deploying Enterprise-level infrastructure for the Flux network and be rewarded for doing so. It provides everyone with an easy way to support Web3 and doesn’t require any technical knowledge as the Titan Flux nodes are managed by Lumen Technologies.
To participate all you need is enough Flux for the minimum Titan collateral and the Zelcore wallet. Once you hold your Flux in Zelcore you will be able to lock it in a 6-month stake and participate in a shared Titan node. After 6 months you will have your collateral returned along with your staking rewards. Nice and easy.
The addition of shared nodes creates another entry point for joining the Web3 revolution. Flux now offers node operators everything from the simple option of in-wallet staking all the way up to the advanced endeavor of building and operating a powerful node from your own home.
No matter how node operators choose to participate, they will all be rewarded courtesy of the Flux economic model. The economic model has also been designed for Web3 and ensures that it’s the participants that are rewarded for their contributions and not passive venture capital corporations.
